Washington, DC (PRWEB) May 10, 2013 ~ Former members of the US Congress have issued a communiqué from the Citizen Hearing on Disclosure just held in Washngton, DC at the National Press Club. The communiqué requests the Citizen Hearing Foundation begin raising funds to pursue a group of nations to submit a resolution to the UN General Assembly calling for a World Conference to review evidence for a possible extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race.

The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure of evidence for a possible extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race completed its work at the National Press Club in Washington, DC on May 3, 2013. For five days 40 military, scientific and governmental witnesses from 10 nations gave testimony to five former members of the United States House of Representatives and one former member of the United States Senate. The Citizen Hearing Committee members were Senator Mike Gravel; Congresswomen Lynn Woolsey, Carolyn Kilpatrick and Darlene Hooley and Congressmen Roscoe Bartlett and Merrill Cook.

Prior to the conclusion of the hearing the Committee together with Hearing witnesses representing ten nations drafted a statement for submission to the United Nations General Assembly titled “The Citizen Hearing on Disclosure Washington Communiqué,” (available at: http://www.citizenhearing.org/foundation.html).

The goal of this initiative is a UN sponsored World Conference to examine evidence for the possible current and past engagement of humanity by non-human intelligence.

The Communiqué states: “… given that credible witnesses have brought forth overwhelming scientific evidence documenting the current presence of unidentified and unexplained aerial craft that many believe to reflect an extraterrestrial intelligence,” and, “… given the enormous global implications if these craft are, indeed, of extraterrestrial origin, such an issue is a matter for the General Assembly of the United Nations.”

The Communiqué requests the Citizen Hearing Foundation to “… use its offices to organize interested parties and raise the funds necessary to pursue a global campaign to convince one or more nations to propose a resolution within the General Assembly calling for United Nations sponsorship of a world conference addressing the possible evidence for an extraterrestrial presence engaging this planet.”

The Washington Communiqué was signed by four of the Citizen Hearing Committee members (Congresswomen Kilpatrick and Hooley, Senator Gravel and Congressman Cook).

Two of the Committee members (Congresswoman Woolsey and Congressman Bartlett) were unable to sign due to post-employment restrictions on recently retired Congressional Members and officers.

Create an Event (Create New Event)

What does it mean to create an event?  What creating a Facebook event really does is it contextualizes a location in spacetime. Thus one could conceivably choose nearly any location and designate it for any length of time and claim it to be whatever one chooses it to be. As more and more people either become involved or join the event, the more legitimized the event may become (but the sheer volume of participation may be irrelevant; once an event is claimed, like a flag planted on untouched terra firma, its presence is its own legitimization). Indeed, what we are doing is labeling spacetime in the digitally hyperreal (meta-space) and then experiencing that designated and contextualized digital hyperreal claim (the event) as we bring our own consciousness to the “in real life” (meatspace) locale.

In creating Facebook events we may explore a new freedom in the domain of speech, expression, art, and even mind, even meaning. What is stopping us from claiming that next Wednesday, for 6 to 10 pm, between a greasy laundry mat and a hardware store, will be a point to get in touch with lost elemental forces, or forgotten childhood memories, or our estranged intimacies, or God, or our soul? What shall we declare the meta-space, and in so doing, declare the meatspace?Did it still happen even if nobody showed up? Is this a new form for the creation of MEANING?  Is an Facebook event a portal into meaning?

In a world totally interconnected (as always) and in the presence of creative contextualization, are we in demand for a Digital Media Metaphysics?
